2025 NBA DRAFT aka BOB’S BIG BOARD
A year like 2023 where we know who is number 1. Cooper Flagg the man from Maine who played at Duke and while he wasn’t as dominate as some expected he showed why he was clearly the top guy this season. Not that my personal rankings mean much in this cruel world but in my numbers I have him as the 2nd best player in the last 5 drafts coming into it. I don’t think that means he is guaranteed to be better than everyone but Wemby. But, he is the 2nd most ready to be in the NBA. I’m curious about how good that will be, since I like him a lot but not best player on championship team level. The rest of the draft is the real interest. I think there are 10-15 guys who would’ve been top 5 talent in last years draft. First I will do my thoughts and rankings. Then follow that up with a mock draft. My ratings are OFF, DEF, POT for OFFENSE, DEFENSE a 1-5 point scale based on what they are capable of now, POTENTIAL is obviously where I see them getting to at their best and is a 5-10 scale. I will put a $ by who I think the 5 All rookie team members will be.
Here’s my potential scale.
10-9 best player on a title/playoff team.
8.9-8 2nd best player on a title/playoff team.
7.9-7 3rd best player on a title/playoff team.
6.9-6 4th best player on that kind of team.
5.9-5 5th best player or rotational.
TIER 1 - solo bolo
COOPER FLAGG 6’9 F, DUKE, 18 years old OFF 4.1 DEF 4.2 POT 10 $
Easy choice here. Haven’t seen anyone trying to act like he isn’t the consensus. Even his worst moments were fine and you understood them. I don’t think he will become the top scorer on a NBA title team but I think he could absolutely be the glue guy and most important player on one. His top ceiling reminds me a lot of a slightly lesser Draymond on defense with a 6 inch taller Tony Parker on offense with a better shot. That sounds incredible I know and why he gets a full 5 in the potential category. His hustle on the floor, combined with his natural IQ for the game give him the edge. Lots of guys have the skill, he has that plus the special thing that is rare in his brain. He’s a natural point forward with A+ defense. Wish he wasn’t going to the Mavericks but, oh well.
TIER 2 - also solo bolo
DYLAN HARPER 6’6 G, RUTGERS, 19 years old OFF 4 DEF 3.3 POT 9.2
Not quite as easy as Flagg but close. His defense would normally cause me to drop him lower like I have other prospects in the past but his size plus his offensive ability make it too difficult to talk myself out of here. His potential reminds me most of Cade Cunningham. Who we haven’t even seen hit his peak yet, but is clearly a best player on a playoff team level guy. Harper could also be that. Give him 4 years and he is either the best player on a playoff contender or the 2nd best on a very good title contender. Offense is nearly unlimited and if he if puts the effort in on defense when it matters I see him being the clear 2nd best player in this class, and the best scorer in it.
TIER 3 - there’s a star in here somewhereVJ EDGECOMBE 6’4 G, BAYLOR, 19 years old OFF 3.6 DEF 4 POT 7.9 $
Love this guys game. He is so athletic and aggressive and confident. Arguably the best athlete in the class and has enough skill to be excited about him. Puts in extreme effort on the defensive end, and could play with a PG or other G’s who can shoot. He can do a little of everything and once he gets better at finishing around the rim without dunking I think the sky is the limit on that front. But, he won’t likely ever be an amazing self creator or a playmaker/facilitator. I think he’s the best defensive guard in the draft and after teams have had to watch Lu Dort, Cason Wallace, Alex Caruso, Andrew Nembhard, Aaron Nesmith make life hard for everyone in front of them this postseason I think that raises his ceiling as well. His potential is lower only because I don’t see him getting the ball in key moments going one on one against anyone on purpose. But he will absolutely be making back cuts, catching oops, knocking down threes in big moments for the next 15 years. I see what if Victor Oladipo stayed healthy trajectory for him.
DERIK QUEEN 6’9 C/PF, MARYLAND, 20 years old OFF 3.8 DEF 3.5 POT 8.1 $
The guy I’m the highest on against consensus. Most drafts have him anywhere between 7-20. I love his game. A lot of March Madness lovers remember his game winner to beat Colorado State in the second round. But I remember him looking like the best player on the floor in a lot of BIG10 games and giving me the look that Jokic, Sengun, and other slower/not as athletic NBA bigs give me which is a mind and timing to take advantage of defenses. I call him baby Sengun in my scouting and there’s a reason. He is offense first, passing and scoring is very high, and is a gamer. Won’t blow you away in skills or moving around. But put him on the offensive side of the floor and good things will happen. I think he could thrive as a 2nd guy. If he is asked to do too much too early he may fall apart. But I’m buying stock in the 2nd best DQ. Now i want a blizzard.
KON KNUEPPEL 6’6 G, DUKE, 19 years old OFF 3.6 DEF 3.8 POT 7.6
Having two Duke players in my top 5 hurts my heart but this was the most likable Duke team I can ever remember as an entirety. This guy seemed prime to be hated but then you watch him play and you can’t. He’s a super hard worker, makes his shots, they look clean, he is also gritty and tough as hell and don’t let me throw around a cerebral here about a white basketball player too. I do think his offense is currently limited but could develop. I think he’s like if Dalton Knecht got that good 5 years earlier so KK’s potential is higher. Best shooter in the draft right here and is stronger and bigger than you expect. I think he’s going to work very hard and be a productive player.
TRE JOHNSON 6’5 G, TEXAS, 19 years old, OFF 3.8 DEF 3.3 POT 8.4
This was one guy I wanted to rank lower as well because he is maybe the worst defender in the class. But, that could be an effort and focus issue and as I mentioned in the Harper part I have ranked defense too high in the past drafts that caused me to overlook how good certain guys were at offense. Harper I won’t do that with and neither will Tre fall prey to my prejudices to working hard on defense. Johnson has an amazing skill set on the offensive end that is mostly shotmaking based. He’s old school ISO one on one killer. Best shotmaking in the draft and looks NBA ready to score. He isn’t good at the rim or driving yet, but catch & shoot or one on one he will get his points. I just worry because he reminds me of the best parts of Lonnie Walker. So he could easily be better Cam Thomas or he could be, well, Lonnie Walker. Buddy Hield is also someone I could see him being, but who knows if he has the longevity there. I’m sure if you watch him in a workout it’ll be hard to pass up seeing how many difficult shots go in. He could be a special scorer in his best timeline but I’m dubious and if I’m in charge probably go another direction but he’s undeniably great at the one thing that is most important in basketball so he ends up here.
COLLIN MURRAY-BOYLES 6’7 F, SOUTH CAROLINA, 20 years old, OFF 3.5 DEF 3.9 POT 6.9
What if PJ Tucker was better at everything? That’s the ideal version of CMB. I love his potential on offense, but his defense plus his athleticism is what has teams and me excited. If the Rockets weren’t all in on next season with KD I think he would’ve been a perfect Rocket. His energy & strength is infectious and will likely get him on the floor early. Reminds me of a higher ceiling Tari Eason, but I liked Tari Eason a little more, personally.THOMAS SORBER 6’10 C, GEORGETOWN, 19 years old, OFF 3.6 DEF 4.1 POT 7
I’m a little higher on Sorber than consensus, but what I saw was basically a minor league Bam Adebayo that should translate quickly to the NBA. I don’t expect him to make it to Team USA levels, but I do think he will be productive pretty fast providing health. Not much of an athlete, or a jumper, but makes up for it with skill, IQ, and long wingspan. Is good everywhere on the floor and if he didn’t have an injury history I think he would be higher on most boards.DANNY WOLF 7’ PF/C, MICHIGAN, 21 years old, OFF 3.7 DEF 3.6 POT 7.1
Another one I’m higher on because he’s a huge, limited athlete with amazing passing vision and offensive feel. Played Point Center at times for Michigan and has good handles and touch around the rim on drives and post shots. Played overseas, at BYU, and Michigan. That feels like a “you can play anywhere” road map. Seeing a 7’ guy with point guard skills who can play the 5 but would pair well with a real defensive post playing 5 would have me excited. I think this guy impresses coaches quickly if he cuts down his turnovers and plays early. His potential is lower because of his athletic limitations but his skill and vision for the game could make that a non factor.ACE BAILEY 6’8 F, RUTGERS, 18 years old, OFF 3.7 DEF 3.4 POT 8.9
Getting headlines for cancelling workouts and maybe getting bad advice behind the scenes, but what he should be getting headlines for is his Durant level shotmaking. He is one of the youngest players in the draft and was Dylan Harper’s teammate on an underwhelming Rutgers team. He doesn’t do much on defense, plays a little chaotically, but when you see what he can do with his shooting it kind of helps you forget he’s not near ready. I think he could be a taller Jordan Poole, but if he fixes his attitude and mind and plays the right way he could easily be a steal in this draft since he went from a sure fire top 3 to a I guess he’s going 5-10? So I’m lower on him but there’s world where he is ROY and it doesn’t matter if he’s scoring 20 a game.
TIER 4 even if you’re not a star you can be very important.
I’m gonna say more negative things in this tier but just know I think most of these guys will be at least 2 way contract guys and play rotational minutes at some point. I really like this draft.ASA NEWELL 6’10 PF/C, GEORGIA, 19 years old, OFF 3.5 DEF 3.9 POT 6.9
I’m a little higher on him than others but I think I just fall for these jack of all trades guys, especially if they are taller and play defense. Newell was the best player on his team, anchored their defense and lead them in scoring. I found his scouting film very fun to watch. He’s got a lot of raw elements to his game, but the flashes of what could be got me excited. I could see him becoming a Sengun level playmaker in a few years. If he hits the right situation I will be buying lots of stock in him. Finding a guy who is defense first but also a scorer is a dream.CARTER BRYANT 6’7 F, ARIZONA, 19 years old, OFF 3.5 DEF 3.9 POT 6.8
Did not get near the amount of playing time you would normally like but the time he did I thought he showed a lot. He’s an ideal rotational player in the NBA. After seeing Dort, Caruso, Wiggins, Nesmith, and others do it in the playoffs Bryant could totally become one of those guys. Defense first, hustling, good shooting, high IQ skilled player. I think his quickest comp is a Peyton Watson, but he has more potential I think.RASHEER FLEMING 6’9 PF/C, ST. JOSEPH’S, 20 years old, OFF 3.5 DEF 3.9 POT 6.5
Loved everything about this guy. Faster than he initially looked at first, and ran the floor well. Loved finishing in transition and making plays while also playing the 5 and blocking shots and rebounding. He looked like if Kevon Looney got new legs and hips and was running around. His defense was good, finished a bunch on offense, loved his whole game. I get the worries for him but I would love to take him if I needed big depth in the middle of the first round.CEDRIC COWARD 6’6 G/F, WASHINGTON ST., 21 years old, OFF 3.6 DEF 3.8 POT 6 $
A guy who is rising in draft boards once teams watch more of what he could do. He was a smaller college guy then played 6 games at WAZZU then got hurt. It’s a labrum injury and should be good to go going forward. He is a shooter, very long wingspan for his height, and typical 3&D wing with potential to guard anywhere between 2-4. I wasn’t blown away with what I saw but he could easily be in NBA rotations for 10+ years. Looked a little like minor league Mikal Bridges.DRAKE POWELL 6’5 G, UNC, 19 years old, OFF 3.6 DEF 3.9 POT 5.9
I am higher on him than most because I see him immediately playing as a rookie and getting minutes if he lands on a team that needs wing or big guard play. He has the highest chance to be Jaylen Wells of next season. His defense is awesome and may be asked as soon as he shows up to guard the best players on the other team if he gets the minutes. His shot is fine to good, his skills are solid, and he can jump and run the floor with the best. He is smart on cuts, and played a very NBA role in college standing around waiting for threes and moving to find his shot when he needed to. I’m high on him and think he’s gonna be in the top 7 of a rotation sooner rather than later.NOA ESSENGUE 6’9 F, FRANCE, 18 years old, OFF 3.4 DEF 3.7 POT 7.3
Had this guy all over my draft board at times. He’s been top 10 and in the 20’s. I eventually landed somewhere in the middle because of his lack of readiness for the NBA. His skill level on offense is lower than I would like despite the fact he is smart and has the athletic ability. Watching him gave me some Siakam flashbacks but Siakam was much more polished coming in. Noa is defense first, and could develop but wouldn’t expect much early on. Really like the ceiling here though. I wouldn’t be shocked if someone talked themselves into him higher.WALTER CLAYTON JR. 6’3 PG, FLORIDA, 22 years old OFF 3.8 DEF 3.5 POT 6.7
I didn’t expect him to be this high. Older guard, seems like heat check only. But the more I watched the more I kinda think he will be minor league Trae Young. His shot is amazing, a good PG most the time, in the NBA he won’t be asked to carry a team on offense like he was in college, and his defense is mostly bad but with moments of hustle. His effort and attitude gives me hope that he could stay on the floor. The right team gets this guy and you’re getting a good Fred VanVleet type guy.JEREMIAH FEARS 6’2 PG OKLAHOMA, 18 years old, OFF 3.7 DEF 3.3 POT 6.9
Arguably the lowest I am on a guy some think could be a star in the right situation. I get it. His ball handling, driving, confidence, and carrying a team at 18 does show so much promise. Which is why his potential score is higher than others around here. But he’s short, can’t shoot consistently yet, and is bad at defense. I think he’s less impressive Scoot and I didn’t love Scoot either but I had him top 10 in that draft. I think this guy becomes a microwave heat check guard off the bench but you can’t measure the brain and maybe he will develop into something special. I just don’t believe it.ADOU THEIRO 6’8 F ARKANSAS, 21 years old, OFF 3.5 DEF 3.8 POT 5.9
Higher on him than most. I think his frame, strength, athletic ability, and defensive effort won me over. He reminded me of Obi Toppin at times but with better defense. I think this guy is guaranteed to be a rotational player at some point as long as his head is in the right place. Defensive first athletic guy who catches lobs and will be shooting hundreds of corner threes a day may work out.KHAMAN MALUACH 7’2 C DUKE, 18 years old, OFF 3.3 DEF 3.8 POT 5.9 $
Now we get to this run on guys I don’t like as much as others. KM is incredible to watch at times. His defense anchor ability seems high and if you were to bet on a potential DPOY in this draft he would be the favorite because of his size and quick learning and development. But he doesn’t have that killer instinct I’ve seen in other prospects. I think he will get pushed around and really need to develop further. That could totally happen but right now I see a weaker Capela. Which is fine, but I’m not taking him top 10 if that’s what I’m getting. His offense is limited to lob catching and put backs only. Even then, if the put back isn’t a dunk it seems unlikely. Won’t be as easy in the NBA. Might be good though. Happy to be wrong. He’s for sure the one I’m lowest on compared to consensus where he’s a top 5 guy to most everyone.HANSEN YANG 7’1 C CHINA, 19 years old, OFF 3.7 DEF 3.5 POT 6.9+?
This guy was so fun to check out. Amazing ball skills and smart passing. Had all that good ball movement you see from Jokic at its highest level, then Sengun at slightly lower, and Yang lands there. He has Edey level post scoring but with better handle, movement, and IQ, and similar defense but slightly smaller. He really reminded me of slightly smaller Edey but with game leading more towards Brook Lopez. His quickness and ability gets me excited. I wanted to rank him above Malauch but KM’s defense and physical profile will get him the nod. I wanted to go really wild though. Just know I am a coward. There’s a ? by his potential for a reason. I see so much beauty in how he plays and if he lands in the right place, look out.WILL RILEY 6’8 F ILLINOIS, 19 years old, OFF 3.8 DEF 3.2 POT 7.1
This was a hard one. Mainly because the offense reminded me so much of a slightly smaller Brandon Ingram with so much upside if he just gains some strength and hits the weight room. But his defense was truly terrible and made me realize how much his teammates covered him at times. Even worse than his teammate coming up soon. But! His shot making and development as the season went along would have me excited about what he might be able to do at his best. He could just be a guy you never see but I have faith his herky-jerky offensive game with a nice shot and knack for scoring will show up somewhere. If a defensive team needs scoring I would give him a shot after the top 15 picks.JASE RICHARDSON 6’2 PG MICHIGAN ST, 19 years old, OFF 3.7 DEF 3.6 POT 6.1
Size is the issue here. Small guard who didn’t play PG much, and can shoot well but not consistent. Super smart but athletically can’t blow by anyone or separate enough for it to matter. I think he will have trouble finding a spot without knocking down a high % of open catch and shoots. His defense is fine though. He will get picked on here, but his effort and focus showed in college he might be able to do it. I like this guy. Just hard to believe he would make a big difference. Definitely the one prospect I have the least negative to say about that is this low.EGOR DEMIN 6’9 G/F, BYU, 19 years old, OFF 3.7 DEF 3.4 POT 6.4
Really fun player who if he becomes a threat from the 3PT line will be awesome. But as of now he is less impressive Giddey, but taller and does try on defense. Just very limited. He isn’t fast or strong enough to create for himself much. A lot of his best passes were overhead jumps that won’t fly as much in the NBA. He can be Giddey or maybe he is tall Elfrid Payton. We shall see.KASPARAS JAKUCIONIS 6’6 G, ILLINOIS, 19 years old, OFF 3.7 DEF 3.3 POT 5.9
Another guy I’m lower on. I really enjoyed him in college but the more I watched the more I saw all the ways his game won’t work at the next level. His IQ, and feel for the game may cancel that out and it won’t matter. I was wrong about Podz when he came out for similar reasons. But for Kas it’s that he is a decent shooter, not great, can’t create for himself much, but he’s a great passer so that helps. His defense might get him played off every floor and coaches won’t keep him out there without real offensive creation. I just wouldn’t bet on it. Cheering for him.MAXIME RAYNAUD 7’1 C, STANFORD, 22 years old, OFF 3.6 DEF 3.4 POT 6.6
I saw a lot of Porzingis in his game. Not as athletic but a super high release, poor defense, smart but misses easy reads getting tunnel vision at times. High volume of shots and confidence but easily pushed out of the way for a big. He’s all finesse and no power. Think the Celtics would love to have him be the cheaper KP or Kornet.NIQUE CLIFFORD 6’6 G/F, COLORADO ST, 23 years old, OFF 3.5 DEF 3.6 POT 5.5
A jack of all trades guy who developed late, had to lead a Colorado State team and did so much. Plays solid defense, decent shooter and passer. I think he is destined to be a role player for a long time and might even have stretches in the regular season where he looks awesome. I see the limits as well which makes him land here. Would be excited to get him if I am a playoff team needing some cheap young depth guy who can play 2 or 3 and won’t be afraid of any moment.KAM JONES 6’4 G, MARQUETTE, 23 years old, OFF 3.6 DEF 3.5 POT 6
Good catch and shoot numbers and ability to flare out and get his shot there, plus his being asked to carry a good team his senior year and becoming more of a playmaker and not just a scorer raise his ceiling for me. His frame and athletic build do make me wonder if he will last on NBA floors. But I think when you watch him you see very minor league James Harden with slightly better defense and not near the offensive potential. But I like him and think he could stick around.ALEX TOOHEY 6’8 F, AUSTRALIA, 21 years old, OFF 3.5 DEF 3.7 POT 5.3
A guy who walked right out of the Joe Ingles lab and looks like he might stick around more with defense than offense. His shot looks nice but it only goes in 30% of the time so I would bet on that being fine. Could be a small ball 5 in tough spots but likely a 4 who can spread the floor and moves well. Developed a lot defensively the last year. I think he will be a second round pick who plays some next year and some people say “who is this?”
TIER 5 - hey, maybe one day, but not todayJOAN BERINGER 6’10 C, FRANCE, 18 years old, OFF 3.1 DEF 3.8 POT 5.5
Easily the worst offensive player in this draft and was just basically slightly smaller Maluach but more nimble and less physically imposing. He doesn’t rebound well enough, can’t do anything with the ball, and just started playing in 2021. His inexperience shows, BUT, his defense is awesome and he covers a bunch of ground. He is great rim runner. Saw him make multiple big blocks and run the floor to finish with a dunk. He had essentially the highest block rate in all of europe, and looks like he might be a very fun developmental prospect. Someone you let play G league only and eventually hope you see him by the end of his rookie contract. I probably wouldn’t take him in round 1 unless I really believed I could get him somewhere positive in 2-3 years.
HUGO GONZALEZ 6’6 G/F, SPAIN, 19 years old, OFF 3.5 DEF 3.5 POT 5
Rare to watch a lot of a guy and not be impressed by anything. His effort off the ball on defense was nice sometimes and he tries very hard but his shot was inconsistent, he had some nice cuts and his IQ seems to be high on the court, but never did anything that got me excited. He could totally be a minutes eating rotation guy but I am the least enthused about him of anyone I watched thus far.
MOCK DRAFTDallas Mavericks - Cooper Flagg F
They are taking Cooper Flagg. It’ll be a lost season without Kyrie so the hope would be when he comes back Flagg, Anthony Davis, PJ Washington, Dereck Lively, and others are playing together well.San Antonio Spurs- Dylan Harper G
I think they could surprise here but Dylan Harper is just about everyones number 2 guy and pairing him with Fox, Castle, Wemby, and Vassell sounds so fun and even if they don’t keep that core it’s extremely high value.Philadelphia 76ers- VJ Edgecombe G
If they keep this pick I think they go VJ Edgecombe. Morey has nailed his smaller guards with star potential with Maxey and McCain and this would be another one who can play big minutes or develop however they want to do it. It’s not an ideal fit next to those guys but if the defense stays there he could be their guard who does the main crux of the guarding of the other teams best scorer. Embiid is gonna love him.Charlotte Hornets- Ace Bailey F
This is a ? where I have seen quite a few players mocked here. I could see them moving up to 2 or 3, but if they stay here in this mock I have them taking Ace Bailey. Hornets feel like they would say workouts be damned, lets go get a scorer and have maybe the highest offense potential 1-3 spots imaginable with LaMelo, Brandon Miller, and Ace with Mark Williams down low and Miles piece of shit Bridges at the 4. Could be a lineup that surprises if anyone plays defense.Utah Jazz- Kon Kneuppel G
Kon Kneuppel was made to go play in Utah. He has all the white guy adjectives plus he is stronger than you think and will be good one day.Washington Wizards- Jeremiah Fears PG
Jeremiah Fears is going here. They have Sarr who will be good. Coulibaly who is good and will get better. They don’t have a true PG. Bub Carrington got lots of minutes but will likely be more a scoring combo guard in the future. Let Fears take the reigns and try to become the next John Wall in DC.New Orleans Pelicans- Tre Johnson G
Tre Johnson checks the boxes of what if we could get a smaller Brandon Ingram type that was younger and cheaper. He should get some 2nd unit minutes and will learn a lot and fast. Should make Jordan Hawkins expendable also.Brooklyn Nets- Khaman Maluach C
Khaman Maluach is going here if not earlier. He can play with Claxton or come in with the second unit like Steven Adams did when he was young on the Thunder. I think he will make big fans of Cam Johnson and whatever guards are there to get screens from him.Toronto Raptors- Colin Murray-Boyles F
Colin Murray-Boyles is my choice here. He has some Scottie Barnes tendencies and the Raptors have their starters basically figured out but need that extra depth that could build to something and he will get those Chris Boucher minutes and be really fun to pair with some of these guys.Phoenix Suns- Derik Queen C
Derik Queen say hello to Arizona. Good fit, he will be good here. Hope he gets to learn and be apart of Booker, Brooks and other veterans for at least one year. He will facilitate well and not be afraid of anything. The mismanagement of this franchise since they made the finals is sad but Queen will jump start the next phase.Portland Trail Blazers- Kasparas Jakucionis G
Kasparas Jakucionis would be perfect in portland who have a lot of black holes on offense with Scoot and Sharpe and Simons and Grant but could become the playmaker to set them up and make things easier while knocking down 3’s. Sabonis senior vibes from the guard position will make fans happy.Chicago Bulls- Carter Bryant F
Carter Bryant feels like the Bulls pick here. He is a defense first, 3&D wing who can play with Coby and Matas and have a nice time picking up the other teams better scorers. This team is in purgatory so might as well grab a pretty safe bet while you can.Atlanta Hawks- Noa Essengue F
Noa Essengue the french big wing feels right here. Give Risacher a french friend who needs more help on offense than defense where he is the reverse. Should be flexible and good in many lineups.San Antonio Spurs- Asa Newell
If they have this pick I like them to take a big and while I’m tempted to give them the french one, I will go Asa Newell here. Jack of all trades who can stretch the floor, play defense, and be a 4 or 5 with Wemby on the floor.Oklahoma City Thunder- Joan Beringer C
If they keep this one i think they take Joan Beringer and stash him in the G league for years. He is a while away from playing but maybe by 2027 when they need him he can play with Chet or be their bench big.Memphis Grizzlies- Jase Richardson G
I’m hoping they trade this for more depth but if they don’t there’s plenty to like about what is available. I would like Thomas Sorber, but he’s already been injured and they are committed to Edey. They need wing depth, but I’m going to say they take Jase Richardson the short guard from Michigan St and Jason Richardon’s son. He can shoot, and can replace the Bane stuff ideally but he’s a little shorter but longer arms and might play better defense. They have Scotty Pippen Jr, but when they eventually move Cole Anthony he would take those minutesMinnesota Timberwolves- Egor Demin PG/F
The BYU product has a lot of talent, and would be asked to ease the transition away from Mike Conley here. He would facilitate and get things moving and run some second unit minutes. I think his size would be great with a team who clearly values the physical imposing element of their game.Washington Wizards- Will Riley G/F
I think the Wizards are starved for real basketball and Riley would bring some scoring and old school basketball on that end. He can’t guard yet, and maybe never will, but since they are still in tank mode you can take him, let him learn on the fly and hope he gets some lessons from it.Brooklyn Nets- Walter Clayton Jr PG
They need some guard play and Clayton could come in and dominate and be a nice replacement in case they want to move on from Cam Thomas since Clayton plays a slightly more winning brand of basketball as we saw in March.Miami Heat- Cedric Coward G/F
A guy that is a ? for a lot of people will go to Miami and I bet he will be solid. Long arms, plays some defense and is a decent shooter. Heat need a lot of things but he’s older, and showed a lot of promise.Utah Jazz- Nique Clifford G/F
Jazz are starting to build something I think and bringing in an experienced college player who can play multiple positions and be older than some of their other recent picks.Atlanta Hawks- Thomas Sorber C
Losing Capela and taking a back up big here makes sense. They might go guard and Sorber shouldn’t be here this long if I’m drafting but I could see his injury issues and fit makes him fall.New Orleans Pelicans- Danny Wolf PF/C
When I imagine a healthy Zion, CJ, Dejounte Murray, Herb Jones, Trey Murphy, Missi, Alvarado adding in a second playmaking bigger guy who can do second unit less athletic versions of what Zion is doing makes sense. They had the year from hell last year but if they can get Tre Johnson and Danny Wolf then wooooo.Oklahoma City Thunder- Liam McNeeley F
This probably won’t be their pick by the time it comes but either way teams like McNeeley and could see him going here to them or somewhere else.Orlando Magic- Drake Powell G
Might be a stretch but I think bringing in another gritty back court player after losing KCP and Cole Anthony and bringing in Bane. Bane can shoot but he doesn’t have the defense. Powell and Bane together make a perfect player.Brooklyn Nets- Rasheer Fleming PF
Athletic fun big that might be a Claxton replacement eventually.Brooklyn Nets- Nolan Traore G
with 4 picks the Nets will take swings and surely nail at least one. Taking a french talented guard with limitations is worth a shot to go with the others.Boston Celtics- Maxime Raynaud C
Floor spacing stretch 5 who only started really focusing on basketball like 5 years ago who might be replacing Horford and Kornet. As I predicted earlier.Phoenix Suns- Hugo Gonzalez G/F
Talented young Real Madrid player who was a highly touted early but has disappointed slightly in Europe but has a chance since he isn’t bad at anything but isn’t great at anything either. Might fit right in with the current suns (sorry Booker).Los Angeles Clippers- Adou Theiro F
A buff athletic player who plays defense and will push anyone around near him. Would probably sit behind Batum, DJJ, and others until he’s ready.
Excited for Wednesday and Thursday. Hope you get to watch and enjoy. Love you guys.
